ADMINISTRATIVE COORDINATOR, EDUCATOR GROWTH AND DEVELOPMENT
43G (School Support Administrator, 0515)
This position will serve as a supplemental support to enhance the capacity of school leaders to leverage the Educator Development and Support (EDS) evaluation systems to enhance effective instruction.
PRIMARY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coaches and supports principal supervisors, school site administrators, and teachers on the implementation on the District-developed frameworks to enhance the EDS evaluation system on My Professional Growth System (MyPGS) platform
- Trains principal supervisors, school site administrators, and teacher leaders on the EDS evaluation cycle to support teachers and support providers to identify areas for growth and development
- Designs and facilitates professional development related to targeted components of the District Frameworks to support effective instruction aligned to support District-developed frameworks and the District Strategic Plan
- Reviews and provides feedback on the effectiveness of professional development relative to the EDS processes to ensure alignment to the professional development priorities of the District
- Provides professional development, coaching, and consultation to principal supervisors and school site administrators on the use of the Informal Observation Tool to support teacher growth and development
- Ensures supplemental professional development is available to principal supervisors, school site administrators, and teacher participants of the EDS process to deepen their understanding of effective instruction
- Oversees and facilitates work groups in the refinement of District Frameworks and resources to support the growth and development of principal supervisors, school site administrators, and teachers
- Collaborates with other District departments, region leadership, and instructional staff to strengthen the implementation of formal and informal evaluation systems grounded in District-developed frameworks
- Performs other duties as assigned in alignment with the purpose of Title II
SALARY:
43G, (School Support Administrator, 0515) – A Basis ($149,046 – $185,940) – 261 paid days
NOTE: This position will close on June 30, 2026.
- In the case of an annualized employee who is changing basis during the year, this change may result in an annualized “settlement” (i.e., the process by which the District resolves an under or overpayment).
- For employees who change basis during the school year, this basis change may prevent them from earning a full year of service credit.
- Selected individual may be subject to displacement due to norm allocation and seniority-based RIF provisions or due to budget limitations.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Permanent certificated employee of the Los Angeles Unified School District
- At least eight (8) years of successful, full-time public school service in a certificated position(s), with no fewer than two (2) years of which must have been in a position(s) requiring the Administrative Services Credential
- A valid California Administrative Services Credential
- An earned master’s degree or advanced degree of at least equivalent standard conferred by a regionally-accredited college or university
- Completion of required Multicultural Education and Master Plan coursework *

DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:
- Extensive knowledge and experience implementing the Educator Development and Support systems including both formal evaluation and informal observations
- LAUSD EDST and EDSSL Observer Certification level of “Preliminarily Certified” or higher
- Management experience as a school leader with a demonstrated track record of improved student achievement
- Excellent leadership experience in planning, organizing, and implementing professional development
- Excellent facilitation and presentation skills
- Extensive knowledge of and ability to implement different coaching models to support educator growth and development
- Knowledge and experience in the use and analysis of data to inform instruction and manage performance
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with others at all levels in the organization and to demonstrate a high level of professionalism
- Strong project management skills, particularly when managing multiple responsibilities simultaneously
- Ability to handle information in a confidential manner in accordance with established policies and legal requirements
